This is a first in a series of 7 steins depicting regional lighthouses in various areas of the U.S. The handle is in the shape of Cape Hatteras Lighthouse with a beam of light highlighting sea gulls in flight. Five of the most famous lighthouses of the eastern U.S. wrap around the stein: Assiteague of Virginia, Currituck of North Carolina, Boon Island of Maine, Barnegat of New Jersey, and St. Augustine of Virginia. All are raised relief and hand painted. Future editions will feature New England, Southeastern U.S., the Gulf of Mexico, the Great Lakes, the Pacific Northwest and Southern Pacific.
